crudadmin/skeleton is the starting structure of CrudAdmin packages. It contains a service provider, config, routes, views, admin models, Vue components, translations and a test suite, wired the same way as the other packages.

Creating a package

Run create-package from the skeleton with the name of the new package:
The name uses lower case letters, numbers and hyphens. The package is created next to the skeleton, in dependencies/language-export, and every name is replaced: The script also writes a readme.md, runs git init -b main and installs the release hook of crudadmin-release when it is available.

Structure

The service provider extends Admin\Providers\AdminPackageServiceProvider and declares the package in its properties, see Package service provider:
src/Providers/AppServiceProvider.php

Next steps

  1. Run composer install and composer test in the new package.
  2. Create the repository on GitHub, add it as origin and make the first commit.
  3. Register the package on packages.crudadmin.com, and allow the release token to publish it.
  4. Release the first version, see Release.
The development branch of a new package is main. Link it into a project with a composer path repository and dev-main:
composer.json
